CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Developmental Services Center’s annual Tree of Hope Campaign is nearing its $300,000 fundraising goal, with just $22,000 left to raise as the campaign enters its final days.
Tree of Hope is DSC’s largest fundraiser of the year, providing critical support for programs and services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Funds raised help ensure access to early intervention services, opportunities for independence, and ongoing support for individuals and families across the community.
“This community continues to inspire us, and we are very grateful to all of our supporters,” said DSC CEO Danielle Matthews. “Reaching more than 90 percent of our goal is a huge accomplishment and reflects the compassion and generosity of our donors. Now we are asking the community to help us finish strong and fully light the Tree of Hope.”
This year’s campaign highlights the story of the Anderson family, who shared how early intervention services at DSC made a life-changing difference for their son, Cohen. Their experience underscores the importance of early support and the long-term impact DSC programs have on families in the region.
The Tree of Hope, located at the corner of Prospect Avenue and Marketview Drive, is lit throughout the campaign to symbolize community support.
