URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – After an extensive community engagement process, the City of Urbana‘s new long-term comprehensive plan, Imagine Urbana, is ready for public review and comment. This document will set the course for Urbana’s policy, infrastructure, and planning decisions in the coming years, through sustainable and fiscally responsible growth.
Urbana mayor Diane Wolfe Marlin emphasized the plan’s importance, stating, “When finalized, Imagine Urbana will serve as the city’s guide for City policy, infrastructure, and planning decisions in the years ahead. It provides the framework to promote quality of life for residents through innovative, sustainable, and fiscally responsible growth and development.”
Residents are encouraged to review and comment on the draft version of Imagine Urbana. You can easily access the plan online at online.encodeplus.com/regs/urbana-il. Printed copies are available at The Urbana Free Library, the City of Urbana Clerk’s Office at City Hall (200 S. Vine St.), or by emailing ImagineUrbana@urbanaillinois.us.
