CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Parkland College’s Board of Trustees voted to accept the college’s fiscal audit, as well as a new contract for its public safety officers at their meeting Wednesday night. VP for Administrative Services/CFO Chris Randles and representatives from Forvis Mazars presented the board with the FY24 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) audit, which proved the college was in sound fiscal standing and in compliance with federal regulations.

Board members were also presented preliminary Fall 2024 enrollments from Kristin Smigielski, dean of enrollment, and updates related to Parkland’s Support for Workforce Training and associated state Workforce Equity Initiative grant-funded programs from Alicia Beck, senior director of workforce development.

Trustees approved a three-year bargaining agreement between Parkland College and the Parkland College Public Safety Officers Association Local 173  that will run through June 30, 2027.

Trustees also approved bids for the purchase of vehicles, contracts for continued services with several vendors, grant applications, and personnel appointments and modifications.
