CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – OSF HealthCare has announced a new masking requirement for all employees, patients, and visitors at its hospitals this week due to concerns about widespread respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19, influenza, and RSV.

In addition to the mask requirement, OSF hospitals are limiting visitors to two per patient at a time, and those visitors must be 18 years old or older. Other hospitals in central Illinois, such as Memorial and HSHS, have also implemented similar restrictions.

The masking requirement went into effect Tuesday morning.
