MADISON, WI (Chambana Today) – Illinois continued its impressive road performance with a 74-51 victory over Wisconsin on Sunday, earning its fifth consecutive road win and sixth overall. The Illini, now 19-5 on the season and 9-4 in Big Ten play, built a commanding lead early and never looked back, ultimately winning by 23 points.
Illinois shot 52.4% from beyond the arc, sinking 11 of 21 attempts, and had six players hit at least one 3-pointer. Adalia McKenzie led the charge with 18 points, marking her first game this season with multiple 3-pointers, and also contributed eight rebounds and six assists. Genesis Bryant added 11 points, going a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line, while also posting seven assists and five rebounds.
Kendall Bostic, who earned her 50th career double-double, registered 15 points and 11 rebounds. She also had three assists, three steals, and two blocks, continuing her stellar season. The Illini’s offensive depth was on display as Brynn Shoup-Hill chipped in 11 points, and Berry Wallace scored 10 points off the bench, her third consecutive game in double figures.
The Illini will return to State Farm Center for a two-game homestand, beginning Thursday at 6 p.m. against Penn State.
