On Sunday, January 19, the Urbana Police Department (UPD) responded to a severe traffic crash at the intersection of University and Coler Avenue.

Applegate was promptly arrested and transported to the Vermilion County Public Safety Building on charges of Illegal Possession of Adult Use of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle and Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Another officer traveled to 610 E. Stoughton Street to find two discarded boxes that were determined to be the other items in Ford’s possession, which were stolen as well. Burns and Ford now remain in the Champaign County Jail as of Thursday morning.
