 
	
	A field fire that began as a controlled burn spread unexpectedly Thursday afternoon, prompting a swift response from four local fire departments in Champaign County. The Champaign Fire Department arrived on the scene near Rising and Windsor Roads just after noon, where the blaze had consumed about 10 acres of land. It took approximately an hour and a half to contain the fire, which posed a potential threat to nearby structures.
