CHAMPAIGN, IL (CHAMBANA TODAY) – As part of the City’s 2024 Concrete Street Improvements Project, the pavement on Park Terrace Lane from Robert Drive to Augusta Drive will be reconstructed. Stark Excavating will be the contractor for the City of Champaign and will begin work, weather permitting, on May 6, 2024.

Starting Monday, May 6, 2024, the westbound lane of Park Terrace Lane will be closed between Robert Drive and Augusta Drive. This section of Park Terrace Lane will temporarily become one-lane, one-way eastbound traffic only. Work on this project will take approximately four to six weeks. Lawn restoration will be done in the fall during the optimal growing season to allow the new sod to thrive.

Please pay close attention to construction signs, traffic control devices, and marked detours. Please do not park on the street near the construction site or in areas that are posted “No Parking.” Proceed cautiously through construction zones and use alternate routes whenever possible.  The contractor will attempt to complete construction activities as soon as possible to minimize any inconvenience to the residents in the area of construction. The City of Champaign would like to thank you for your cooperation and patience during this construction season.
