CHAMPAIGN, IL (CHAMBANA TODAY)- Spring has sprung in Champaign-Urbana, we created a list of activities this weekend that are perfect for enjoying the warm weather including plant sales, a farmers market, and an outdoor concert series. Whatever you’re looking for this weekend, we have something for everyone.
Get ready for gardening season at our 11th Annual Plant Sale, held May 3-5 in the Main Parking Lot. Purchase your annuals, herbs, veggies, perennials, natives, arranged hanging baskets, Allerton Bluebells (limited supply!) and more. (Cash or credit card accepted.) You’ll find a variety of plants to spruce up your outdoor spaces, and Piatt County Master Gardeners will be available to answer gardening and plant questions. The event will also feature a Kids’ Potting Corner during Plant Sale hours, so bring the kids out to get a little dirty and pot their very own plant! Kids (and their guardians) can purchase a plant, and use our potting soil to pot it up in a complimentary terracotta planter. Volunteers will be onsite to assist with proper planting techniques.
