CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Urbana Police Department (UPD) seeks the public’s help in locating a missing person, Jimmy L. Joy, who is 73 years old and went missing on Wednesday Aug. 28th. His sister reported she transported her brother to Carle Hospital to seek cold and flu treatment and left her brother in care of medical staff.

Mr. Joy is 6’01, weighs 215 lbs., has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing green, plaid pajama paints and a grey T-shirt. Mr. Joy has dementia, high blood pressure, and is partially blind.

It was determined that Mr. Joy left “against medical advice” around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, 8/28. UPD was not notified until 8 p.m. Officers have been searching the area but have not yet located him. Urbana Police ask that anyone who has additional information to please call 217-384-2320.
