CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Pygmalion Festival, a multi-day festival that was created in 2005, is scheduled for Thursday-Saturday, September 19-21 at a variety of arts centers across Urbana. This year’s venues include Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, The Canopy Club, Gallery Art Bar, Rose Bowl Tavern, Channing Murray Foundation, and 25 O’Clock Brewing Co.
Every performance at the festival takes place inside a unique venue, and each has their own specific ticketing system. Performances at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts and Channing Murray Foundation are All Ages. Performances at The Canopy Club, Rose Bowl Tavern, and Gallery Art Bar are 18+ to enter. If you are under 18, you are required to attend with a legal parent/guardian.
The 20th anniversary celebration kicks off with duo ROYEL OTIS at the Canopy Club on Thursday, September 19. Stand-up comedian JOE PERA at Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, rapper CUPCAKKE, pop stars X AMBASSADORS, drummer and composer MAYAKA MCCRAVEN, guitarist BOB MOULD, alt-rock MILITARIE GUN, FRIKO, QUEEN KEY, SIX ORGANS OF ADMITTANCE, and more.
