URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – Urbana School District #116 is embarking on a new phase of planning for the future with its Strategic Planning 2025 initiative. The district is seeking input from the community to shape its vision and priorities for the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, which will serve as a roadmap for decision-making, goal-setting, and district actions.

Over the next several months, the district will be gathering feedback to better understand the current state of USD116 and to identify what is most important to the school community moving forward. This feedback will guide the district’s planning and ensure that future decisions align with the needs and priorities of students, staff, families, and the broader Urbana community.

Superintendent Dr. Ivory-Tatum emphasized the importance of community involvement in this process. “We want to ensure that everyone is aligned with the direction of the district, and that our goals reflect the collective input of those we serve,” she said.

Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to participate by sharing their thoughts and opinions through a strategic planning engagement survey, which will remain open until Friday, February 28. This survey represents the first opportunity for the public to provide input in the ongoing planning process.

“The input from this survey will help us identify priorities and focus areas for the district as we continue to build a stronger, more unified community,” Dr. Ivory-Tatum added. “Together, we can work toward ensuring that USD116 is the best place for students to learn and grow.”
