ANN ARBOR, MI (Chambana Today) – Illinois dominated in the second half to defeat No. 15 Michigan, 93-73, on Sunday at Crisler Center, extending their winning streak over the Wolverines to nine games. The Illini had four players score in double figures, marking their fourth victory over a ranked opponent this season.

Kylan Boswell led the way with 17 points, five offensive rebounds, and four assists. Tre White added a team-high 19 points and 11 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. He also shot 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Will Riley chipped in 13 points, five assists, and four rebounds, while Kasparas Jakucionis scored 14 of his 17 points in the second half, contributing six rebounds and four assists.

Illinois’ dominance on the boards played a crucial role, outrebounding Michigan 43-32 and scoring 30 second-chance points from 19 offensive rebounds.

The game remained tight early on, with the Illini taking a narrow 31-30 lead into halftime. After the break, Illinois took control with a strong 8-0 run and continued to build a double-digit lead. A 16-5 run later in the half pushed the Illini’s advantage to 75-55, and they cruised to a 21-point win.

Illinois now sits at 19-11 overall and 11-8 in Big Ten play. They’ll finish the regular season at home on Friday night against No. 20 Purdue at 7 p.m.
