Urbana, IL (Chambana Today) – One of the area’s most unique annual events blending music, nature, and learning is set to return for its fifth rendition later this month.
The annual Bluestem Hall Guided Firefly Show, hosted on the scenic grounds of Bluestem Hall Nature School at 1401 East Old Church Road in Urbana, is an event that celebrates the natural beauty of the Midwest. The event will take place on Saturday, June 28 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The event is set to include a guided talk with an entomologist, an insect expert, live music under the stars, a twilight prairie walk, small bites and snacks, and a cozy firepit viewing of a firefly show.
The event also serves as a fundraiser for Bluestem Hall Nature School, a nonprofit dedicated to nature-based education for children in the region. All proceeds from the event go directly to supporting the mission of cultivating curiosity, stewardship, and a lifelong love of the natural world.
