Exit routes, and road closures to know of before July 4th in Champaign

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign County Freedom Celebration will be host to a parade, evening activities, and fireworks tomorrow, July 4 near the State Farm Center. To accommodate for these activities, several streets in the area will be temporarily closed. Those planning on attending the activities are encouraged to visit july4th.net to locate parking, see information on road closures, and additional information.

Parade Route

This year’s celebrations feature a new parade route looping around the historic Memorial Stadium and Ikenberry Commons. See the map below to see the route, as well as areas for parking, food, restrooms, and dumpsters.

For the evening, certain roads in the area will be closed off. A route for post-event traffic flow has also been designated, ensuring a safe exit for those headed home.
