URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will be temporarily closed starting Monday, July 7, as it begins a two-week relocation to the Bennett Administrative Center at 102 E. Main St. in Urbana.
The move — scheduled to take place between July 7 and July 18 — marks a major transition from the office’s current location at the Brookens Administrative Center. County officials anticipate the office will reopen to the public on July 21.
In the meantime, residents will still be able to access select services online, including:
- Scheduling appointments to pay Delinquent Property Taxes
- Registering to vote
However, the Clerk and Recorder’s Office cautioned that processing times may be slower than usual during the move.
“We will work as quickly as possible to reopen our office — stay tuned for updates!” the office shared via its official Facebook page.
To assist residents during the transition, Champaign County has launched a dedicated webpage with relocation details, service updates, and answers to frequently asked questions.
