CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Champaign Fire Department responded to a fire in a large apartment complex yesterday, and an investigation into the cause is ongoing.
The fire, which occurred in a ten-unit multi-family building in the 500 block of West White Street on Monday, was reported by a neighbor. Once crews arrived on the scene at 5:13 p.m., they were quickly able to extinguish the fire using a single hose line.
The cause of this fire has not been determined as investigators remain on scene conducting their investigation. There were no firefighter or occupant injuries reported. One occupant will be displaced as a result of this fire.
