“This is one of the really fun ones we do,” said Kari Smith of Champaign Jewelers. “It’s a chance for customers to explore hundreds of unique ring styles you wouldn’t normally see on a regular day in our store.”
What Is a Trunk Show?
Unlike the store’s everyday inventory, this event brings in the full collections from top designers and vendors, allowing customers to view and try on hundreds of rings — from engagement to anniversary bands.
“What we usually have is just a sample of what these designers offer,” Smith explained. “During the trunk show, they’re bringing in everything.”
By Appointment Only
To make the most of the experience and avoid being overwhelmed, appointments are encouraged. Customers can schedule a 30- to 60-minute time slot by calling, texting, or booking online.
“You can even come in beforehand to meet with our jewelry experts and get a head start on styles you’re interested in,” said Smith. “That way, your appointment can be more focused.”
