CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Champaign Police continue to investigate a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic crash that occurred in the 500 block of N. Market Street on Tuesday night. Emergency responders reported to the scene, and traffic in the area was diverted for a short time as officers work to determine the cause of the collision.

Due to the ongoing investigation, all traffic on N. Market Street between Walnut Street and Columbia Avenue was affected. Washington Street remained open, and there have been no reports of road closures on that street. Authorities have not yet released information on the condition of the pedestrian or further details regarding the crash.
