CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – An offensive video circulating online has led to the firing of a man from his job at Reynolds Towing in Champaign. The video shows an employee in a Reynolds Towing uniform standing on the back of a tow truck while giving a Nazi salute and using an expletive referring to Jewish people.
In response, Reynolds Towing released a statement apologizing for the incident. “We were recently made aware of a deeply disturbing video from 3 years ago involving a current employee wearing our company uniform and engaging in an offensive gesture. This individual’s actions do not reflect the values of our company, our employees, or what we stand for. We do not and will not tolerate hate in any form. This individual has been immediately terminated.”
Owner Kevin Enghausen said the video was filmed three years ago on a Saturday when only two employees were working, and no other employees were aware of the video. He emphasized that the company is made up of hardworking individuals who do not support such actions. Reynolds Towing added that they are taking steps to ensure such behavior never happens again, including implementing stronger policies on employee conduct and mandatory sensitivity training.
The company also expressed their sincere apologies for the hurt the video has caused, asking for the community’s understanding as they work to rebuild trust and show their commitment to integrity and respect in the future.
