CHAMPAIGN/URBANA, IL – The Champaign-Urbana Schools Foundation (CUSF) has unveiled the 2025 Distinguished Alumni honorees, recognizing individuals whose accomplishments, character, and contributions serve as inspiration to students and the broader community. This prestigious award acknowledges outstanding graduates from Unit 4 and District 116, as well as those who have made significant impacts in their fields and communities. The 2025 honorees are:

  • Dr. Jennifer Lansford, Centennial High School Class of 1991 – A renowned research professor and published scientist with a global impact on child development and parenting.
  • Donna Tanner-Harold, Central High School Class of 1972 – A faculty counselor, community leader, and social justice advocate with a focus on mental health, education, and community empowerment.
  • Dr. Susan Nagele, Urbana High School Class of 1973 – A dedicated medical missionary and humanitarian whose work in Africa has saved countless lives.
  • Brett Shaw, Shawluxe Premier Renovations – Local business owner and philanthropist recognized for his community impact and dedication to helping others succeed.
  • Robert Lewis, Local Hero Award – A lifelong advocate for youth, the arts, and public service, with a legacy of mentoring young musicians and enriching the community through his contributions.
