CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Oberweis Ice Cream and Dairy Store and That Burger Joint closed their doors on Sunday, at least temporarily.The eateries, located on Neil Street, will cease operations following Sunday, but representatives from Oberweis have confirmed that the business is actively seeking a new location. They estimate that the new Oberweis could open within 15-22 weeks. According to Oberweis, the closure is not due to sales issues, but rather because the lease on the current location has expired, and the property has been sold to another buyer.
The next nearest Oberweis location is in Bloomington at 2105 North Veterans Parkway.
