CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – An exciting new campaign launch on May 31 and continues through October.
The Beat Downtown Champaign is designed to infuse downtown with more music, entertainment, and culture. The Beat’s mission is to draw in residents and visitors from all over, offering a safe and inclusive space to enjoy a variety of entertainment. Additionally, it seeks to highlight the distinctive shops and businesses of Downtown Champaign, thereby enriching the city’s central social ambiance. The excitement didn’t stop there. 40 North’s Friday Night Live kicked off the evening’s performances, setting the stage for an unforgettable night. Following that,DJs took over the Market Street Stage, energizing the crowd with a mix of Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, Rap, and Pop music. The city says that attendance at the event more than tripled the expected numbers, and the staff is optimistic that this is just the beginning.
Friday Night Live will continue through August 23 from 6-9 p.m. with bubbles, balloons, face painting, caricatures, hula-hooping, glitter tattoos and more.
