DANVILLE, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The City of Danville is currently taking applications for the home repair and accessibility program to eligible residents within the City limits, through the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) Home Repair and Accessibility Program (HRAP) Funding Assistance that offers vital assistance to Danville homeowners particularly those with low or very low income to make essential repairs to their homes.
“From critical health and safety improvements to accessibility upgrades, this funding opens the door for residents to enhance their living conditions. It’s a powerful step forward in our commitment to strengthening neighborhoods and investing in the well-being of our community,” said Rheanna Ollis, Community Relations Administrator of the City of Danville.
Applications will be accepted now through October 27th at 4 p.m. and are available at the City of Danville Community Development Division located at 1155 E. Voorhees St.
Homeowners that qualify will be chosen through a lottery system that will allow those chosen, to qualify for up to $50,000 in home repairs. Eligibility requirements include household limits to be less than or equal to 80% of the American Median Income (AMI) The property needs to be owner occupied, and if applicable, current on mortgage payments, and must have homeowners’ insurance.
