CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, IL (Chambana Today) – A crash on Interstate 74 westbound near the Ogden exit caused temporary lane closures Sunday afternoon, but all lanes have now been reopened, according to Illinois State Police.
The incident occurred around 1:40 p.m., when a gold Buick veered off the road and crashed into the right ditch. The driver, a Danville resident, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Emergency crews, including a tow truck, were dispatched to the scene, and the right lane of I-74 westbound was closed for a period of time while responders cleared the wreckage and conducted their investigation.
Illinois State Police said the crash is still under investigation, and no further details have been released.
