URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – Grab your costumes and your water bottles, because the Cunningham Children’s Home is hosting a local favorite event blending dress-up with a solid cardio session.
On October 4, the fifth annual Be A Hero will be held at the Cunningham Children’s Home’s Urbana campus. Open to runners of all ages and experience levels, the 5K is about more than just getting your steps in, it’s also about making a difference.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the children’s home. Last year, Cunningham served 977 youth and families.
Participants can unlock two different tiers by raising money. $100 unlocks “Superhero” status, which gives participants their own Cunningham cape to wear while running. At $150 to waive registration fees.
Early registration is $25, but the price to register will go up to $30 after September 4.
To sign up, visit the Cunningham Children’s Home website, or visit this link.
