URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – Residents who rely on the curbside U-Cycle recycling program are being notified of schedule changes this week due to the holiday season. The revised pickup schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday U-Cycle route will be picked up on Thursday, December 26, 2024
  • Wednesday U-Cycle route will be picked up on Friday, December 27, 2024
  • Thursday U-Cycle route will be picked up on Saturday, December 28, 2024
  • Friday U-Cycle route will be picked up on Sunday, December 29, 2024

Residents are encouraged to leave their recycling bins curbside in case the driver arrives earlier than expected. City officials advise that while the schedule has been shifted, drivers may adjust their routes based on the area’s volume of materials.

“We understand the holidays can disrupt regular schedules, so we appreciate the patience and understanding of our residents,” said a spokesperson for the City of Champaign’s U-Cycle program. “We encourage everyone to continue putting out their recycling as usual, just in case the driver arrives ahead of the scheduled time.”
