DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – In the late hours of Monday night heading into Tuesday, members of the Danville Police Department Patrol Division were dispatched after a report of a male threatening a female with a firearm, with one round being discharged.
The incident took place near the intersection of Main Street and Virginia Street at around 1:56 a.m.
Witnesses on the scene informed officers that the male retreated into a nearby residence. Officers then surrounded the residence and commanded the subjects to exit, leading to the identification of the male, 34-year-old Joshua Martinez of Danville.
After a search of the residence and its garage, three fire arms were located.
Due to the evidence and information gathered by officers, Martinez was transported to the Vermilion County Jail and booked on the charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of weapons.
