DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – Danville Police are investigating after a person was shot in the neck with a BB or pellet gun Monday night on the city’s east side.

According to police, officers were dispatched at 9:03 p.m. on August 4 to a residence in the 200 block of Grace Street, where they found a victim with a small, non-bleeding entry wound.

The individual was transported to the hospital and later released after medical staff confirmed the injury was caused by a BB or pellet gun.

The Danville Police Department says the investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
