DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – The Danville Police Department is investigating two separate reports of shots fired that occurred just hours apart at the same intersection overnight.
According to Deputy Chief Terry McCord, both incidents took place near Glenwood Drive and English Street. The first occurred around 9:15 p.m. when officers already in the area heard gunfire. A 911 call was made at the same time, prompting a response from police.
On arrival, officers recovered at least four shell casings and bullet fragments. A nearby house and vehicle also sustained damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and there are currently no suspects or leads in the case.
At approximately 4 a.m., officers were called back to the same intersection for another report of shots fired. This time, dispatchers received two separate calls; however, officers did not find any physical evidence confirming a second shooting.
Police have no leads at this time.
