DANVILLE, IL (Chambana Today) – The Danville Sweet Adelines took home 3rd place in Division A at the Sweet Adelines Midwest Region #3 Chorus Competition, held May 3 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In addition to their strong performance on stage, the chorus was honored as the Membership Chorus of the Year, celebrating a 31% increase in membership over the past year. “We’re thrilled to be recognized both for our performance and for the growth of our chorus,” said Director Peggy Marruffo, who proudly accepted the membership award.
The Danville Sweet Adelines remain an active and visible part of the local arts scene. They present an annual show at Danville Area Community College, perform singing telegrams, regularly sing the National Anthem at local events, and are scheduled to perform at Arts in the Park on June 21.
