GIFFORD, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Listeners tuned in to WIXY 100.3 and WIXY Classic 99.1 as Duane and Maggie broadcasted from the 2026 Midwest Ag Expo, delivering on-site coverage from one of the region’s longest-running agricultural shows.
The Midwest Ag Expo has been held since Wednesday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and today from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gordyville USA in Gifford. The live broadcasts feature live updates, interviews, and highlights from the show floor throughout the two-day event.
Illinois Treasurer Michael Frerichs visited the Illini Media Group’s booth, talking about his roots in Gifford, and why this event continues to be valuable in the agricultural sector.
Established in January 1980, the Midwest Ag Expo has long been a staple of the agricultural community. The show featured more than 175 exhibitors representing the farm, industrial, outdoor power equipment, and farmstead mechanization industries, giving attendees an opportunity to explore new products, services, and technologies.
Organizers say the expo continues to serve as a gathering place for farmers, industry professionals, and families to connect, learn, and celebrate the innovation that drives agriculture forward in the Midwest.
