CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Artists’ Alley at The McKinley Foundation is presenting “In the Clouds,” an exhibition of mixed media art by local artist Ben Roughton. the exhibition is located at 410 E Daniel St. Artists’ Alley is open between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily.

This exhibit is based on the idea of neurodivergence and the similarities it shares with mixed media art. Roughton says, “As a neurodivergent artist, I jump around a lot from idea to idea and I often find a lot of overlap between very different things. I think in this way I can naturally show a wide range of art while also keeping some kind of cohesion amongst all parts involved.”

Urbana native Ben Roughton is an artist with ADHD and epilepsy who creates representations of the brain and the mind through visual artistic mediums. He is a student at Parkland College.

The exhibition runs from September 5 – October 25. The opening reception is on September 5 from 5-7 p.m.
