CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Join the University of Illinois Extension on their Wellness Walks, led by Nutrition and Wellness Educator Rachel Mannen and Family Life Educator Emily Harmon. These walks provide residents with the chance to explore local parks, learn wellness tips, and connect with people and nature.

Program organizer Emily Harmon says, “Whether you’re a seasoned walker or just starting out, our Wellness Walks are a great way to incorporate physical activity into your routine. Our hope is to enjoy some beautiful weather, explore our local parks, and discover the next steps in our wellness journey together.”
Each walk will be from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Participants can enjoy fun wellness activities, followed by a walk along paved paths. The Wellness Walks will occur on the following dates and locations:
  • October 3: Hessel Park
  • October 10: Meadowbrook Park
  • October 24: Carle at The Fields Trail
  • October 31: Crystal Lake Park
Wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle.
