CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – As the new school year approaches, students in Champaign and Ford counties are being offered a helping hand to get ready—completely free of charge.
The Ready Program, in partnership with ROE 9 (Regional Office of Education), is providing free school and sports physicals for any student in the two-county area. Physicals will be available every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting July 30th at the Ready Program location, 45 E. University Avenue, Champaign.
Services will be provided by Nurse Practitioner Jessica Wagner, and appointments are required. Families can schedule by calling (217) 239-0322 or emailing jwagner@readyprogram.org.
Organizers hope this effort will remove a barrier to participation in school activities and athletics while helping ensure students start the academic year healthy and ready to succeed.
