FLORA, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Former Illinois gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey has announced funeral arrangements for four members of his family who died in a helicopter crash in Montana last week.
Bailey’s son, Zachary, was piloting the aircraft when it went down, killing him, his wife, and two of their children. Their third child, 10-year-old Finn, was not on board at the time.
Visitation will be held Sunday at Oil Belt Christian Service Camp in Flora, about 120 miles southeast of Springfield. A celebration of life will take place Monday at 9 a.m. at the same location, followed by a private burial.
A donation fund has been established to support Finn.
In a statement, Bailey and his wife Cindy said they are “deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support” their family has received since the tragedy.
