SPRINGFIELD, IL (Chambana Today) – Governor JB Pritzker, along with Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton and Illinois Department of Agriculture Director Jerry Costello II, will officially open the 2025 Illinois State Fair with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 7.
The ceremony will take place at the Main Gate on Sangamon Avenue, marking the start of 11 days of food, music, agriculture, and family fun in the state’s capital. Following the main ribbon cutting, the Governor, First Lady, and Lt. Governor will proceed to cut ribbons at their own designated tents.
Also scheduled to participate are Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark, Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Johnna Fulcher, and the 2025 Twilight Parade Grand Marshals, along with various other state and local dignitaries.
