GIBSON CITY, IL (Chambana Today) – The Harvest Moon Twin Drive-In Theatre community is grieving the loss of Nora Harroun, beloved wife of co-owner Ben Harroun, who passed away on Thursday, July 3. Nora was 35. Visitation is being held this morning from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga.

Known for her warmth, dedication, and unwavering support of the theatre, Nora played a vital role in the drive-in’s success and community spirit. Whether helping organize events or simply sharing in the joy of first-time visitors, she was a cherished presence behind the scenes.

“Nora was the love of my life and a huge part of who I am and what I’ve poured into the drive-in over the past 9+ years we’ve been together,” said Ben Harroun in a heartfelt message shared with patrons and friends. He also extended deep gratitude for the outpouring of community support, adding, “I appreciated everything you’ve all done for us the past several weeks.”

A temporary closure is being considered to allow staff to attend upcoming services. Additionally, Ben Harroun plans to host a tribute night at the drive-in in the coming weeks to celebrate Nora’s life and legacy.
