CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) — Scott Turner, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, will visit Champaign County on Friday, February 27, for a national public housing announcement.

Turner is expected to outline an initiative aimed at increasing self-sufficiency among residents of Public Housing Agencies and individuals receiving certain types of rental assistance.

A press conference will begin at 11 a.m. The exact location will be provided upon RSVP.
