CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Big Ten Conference has unveiled the 2025-26 men’s basketball schedule, confirming that Illinois will continue with a 20-game conference slate. Each team will play three opponents both home and away, and 14 opponents once—seven at home and seven on the road.

Illinois’ home-only opponents include Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon, Rutgers, Washington, and Wisconsin. The away-only matchups are Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, UCLA, and USC. The home-and-away series will feature Maryland, Nebraska, and Northwestern.

The Illini are coming off a 22-win season, an NCAA Tournament Second Round appearance, and a final KenPom ranking of 17th. Under head coach Brad Underwood, Illinois has been the winningest team in Big Ten play over the last six years and stands as one of just four teams nationally with six straight 20-win regular seasons.

Game dates, times, and television information will be announced later.
