CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Illinois extended its home record to 13 consecutive wins with a 64-59 victory over Oregon on Saturday afternoon, kicking off their Big 10 schedule.

The Fighting Illini were led by standout performances from multiple players, with four scoring in double figures. Guard Genesis Bryant led with a game-high 23 points, shooting 16-for-17 from the free-throw line, tying the program’s single-game record for most made free throws. She also contributed seven rebounds and one assist.

Returning from a five-game absence, Gretchen Dolan scored 13 points on 5-for-9 shooting, including three 3-pointers. She also grabbed five rebounds. Kendall Bostic added her fifth consecutive double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Adalia McKenzie contributed 10 points, eight made free throws, seven rebounds, and a block.

Illinois will now turn its focus on Washington in a New Year’s Eve conference showdown, scheduled for 12 p.m. on Dec. 31 at State Farm Center.
