CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Fighting Illini are ranked for the fifth consecutive week in a row, moving up to No. 22.
Following a 50-49 overtime win against Purdue, the Illini next host No. 24 Michigan. The last time these two teams met while both were ranked was 2001, where the Wolverines handily beat the Illini, 45-20. Illinois has lost six straight against Michigan; they last beat the team in 2009.
Memorial Stadium is sold out for the game for the second time this season. The game kicks off at 2:30.
