CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Christie Clinic Illinois Race Weekend, Champaign-Urbana’s biggest annual event, is fast approaching—set for April 24 through 26. But with just days to go, organizers say they still need about 100 volunteers to help make the weekend a success.
Whether you’re a running fan or not, there’s still a way to be part of the action. Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions, including handing out race packets, working the start line corrals, helping with traffic control, distributing food, and more. “It’s fun, it’s easy, and you get some great volunteer swag,” said race organizers. “This event wouldn’t happen without the community stepping up.”
