Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 7 announced the results of Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols (OREP) held in Macon and Vermilion Counties on October 31.

VERMILION COUNTY, IL (Chambana Today) – Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 7 announced the results of Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols (OREP) held in Macon and Vermilion Counties on October 31. According to Commander, Acting Captain Heather Apperson, these OREPs provided extra patrol coverage so officers could focus on making sure all vehicle occupants were buckled up. Here are the results of the patrol:

Child Restraint Citations: 0
Total Citations: 39
Total Written Warnings: 10

The patrols reinforced the occupant protection message by focusing on those who ignore the law. This project was funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
