BLOOMINGTON, IN (Chambana Today) – The Illinois women’s basketball team secured a 68-54 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers in Bloomington Thursday night. The win marked Illinois’ first Big Ten road victory of the season and improved their record to 13-4 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

Illinois’ offense was firing on all cylinders, with four players finishing in double figures. Kendall Bostic led the charge with an impressive 21 points and eight rebounds, playing all 40 minutes. Bostic’s dominant presence in the paint helped the Illini establish a commanding lead, as she went 9-for-19 from the field and also registered three assists and a block.

Adalia McKenzie was another key contributor, tallying 15 points and five rebounds. Her performance marked her eighth consecutive game in double figures. McKenzie added four assists and grabbed three offensive boards to help keep Illinois on top. Berry Wallace also made an impact off the bench, contributing 13 points for her second career double-figure scoring game. Wallace was perfect from beyond the arc, making all three of her three-point attempts, and also added four rebounds and a steal. Genesis Bryant rounded out the quartet of double-figure scorers, finishing with 12 points and a season-high seven assists, along with three rebounds and a steal.

Illinois will return home on Sunday, January 19, to host No. 22 Michigan State at State Farm Center. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
