CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The City of Champaign extends its congratulations to Jamar Brown for being appointed to the District 3 City Council seat. After a thorough application and interview process, the Champaign City Council made the decision to appoint him to fill the vacancy during the Council meeting on June 18, 2024. Council Member Brown was officially sworn in and assumed his position on the same evening. This appointment came about due to the resignation of former Council Member Daniel Iniguez on May 14, 2024.
