URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – There’s a new ball club in town and you’re invited to witness their debut game.
The Women’s Junction Football Club (FC) has announced its inaugural home games in the Women’s Premier Soccer League. They have invited all fans and community members to come out and enjoy a weekend packed with soccer, festivities, and family fun.

Pre-Game Festivities:
- Dick’s House of Sport Meet the Players: Starting at 11:00 AM on Saturday, fans can meet the Junction FC team. This is a golden opportunity to get autographs, take photos, and chat with your favorite players. Learn more here.

Junction FC says it’s proud to bring pre-professional women’s soccer to the Champaign-Urbana community. It expresses its commitment to providing an engaging and enjoyable experience for all attendees. “We are excited to kick off our home games with a weekend full of activities that highlight the spirit of our community and the passion for soccer,” said Junction FC General Manager, Mark Sikora in a recent press release.
After their first four away games, the Women’s Junction FC team stands at 1-1-2. These first home games are a chance for Champaign-Urbana players to shine in front of a hometown crowd. Local players include:
