CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Volunteers are preparing to collect Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts during National Collection Week, November 18-25. The charity has announced more than 4,700 drop-off locations will be available across the U.S.
Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has been collecting and delivering gift-filled shoeboxes to children suffering from war, poverty, disease, and disaster. in 2024, Operation Christmas Child hopes to reach another 12 million children.
For more than three decades, these gift-filled shoeboxes have been delivered to 220 million children in 170 countries and territories. Shoebox gifts, packed with fun toys, school supplies and personal care items are gifted to boys and girls who may have never received a gift of their own.
Participants can donate $10 per shoebox gift online and receive a tracking label to discover its destination. Donors can find the closest drop-off location and hours of operation. The online lookup tool is searchable by City or ZIP code. Signs at each location will identify the drop-off.
