CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — A new partnership between the Siefert Team at Keller Williams Realty, TREC, and the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club is bringing renewed attention and support to youth programming in the community.
Hayley Siefert, a realtor with more than seven years of experience and a long-standing commitment to philanthropy, said the decision to partner with the club came after touring the facility and witnessing its impact firsthand. Although familiar with the Boys and Girls Club by name, Siefert said she was surprised by the depth and range of programming offered, particularly creative spaces like the music and podcast studios.
“Seeing the kids engaged, supported, and given a safe place to explore their talents really changed everything,” Siefert said. “We knew immediately we wanted to be involved in a meaningful way.”
Amy Brown, who has served nearly three years at the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club and has decades of experience in social service leadership, said community partnerships are critical as the organization continues to grow. She highlighted the transformation at the Park Street location, which now serves dozens of teens and tweens daily, compared to just a handful in the immediate post-COVID period.
“One of my favorite moments every day is welcoming kids as they arrive after school,” Brown said. “That sense of belonging and consistency makes a difference, especially for youth who need a safe, constructive place to be.”
Brown noted that the club’s success is driven by its comprehensive programming, including STEM and STEAM education, leadership development, arts, and academic support. As the club looks ahead to 2026, expanding these programs will require continued financial support and volunteer involvement.
The Siefert Team’s partnership is structured as a multi-year commitment, with plans to go beyond financial donations. Siefert said her team is eager to volunteer, attend events, and help raise awareness about the club’s mission throughout the community.
Upcoming opportunities to get involved include tutoring, mealtime support, a documentary premiere titled The Legacy of Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club on February 20 at the Virginia Theatre, and the Fashion for a Great Future fundraiser on April 9.
Brown emphasized that the club welcomes all youth and encourages community members to visit, volunteer, or simply learn more.
“Everyone is welcome here,” she said. “This is a place where young people can grow, feel safe, and build a positive future.”
Siefert echoed that message, encouraging others to contribute however they can. “Whether it’s time, money, or just spreading the word, every effort matters,” she said.
