URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – The Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center invites the community to come together for Mitchell Family Day 2025, a free, fun-filled event for all ages happening on Friday, August 1 at 1401 E. Main Street in Urbana.
The annual celebration promises a day of family fun, food, and fellowship, with activities designed to celebrate summer and help families gear up for the upcoming school year.
The day kicks off with a Summer Soulful Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by an afternoon of outdoor games, water activities, and a street sale from 1 to 4 p.m. Families are encouraged to bring towels and be ready for summer-style fun.
The evening wraps up with a Dinner Showcase and Information Session from 5 to 6 p.m., offering useful resources and connections for families as the school year approaches.
Donations are strongly encouraged and greatly appreciated to help support the event and the ongoing work of the Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center.
